Andy’s Retirement

Andy’s Retirement (27 Oct 2017).

On Friday, after over 28 years of dedicated service at Portavogie Harbour, Andrew Donnan retired.

Our Chairman Terry Jarvis and the CEO Kevin Quigley both attended his farewell ‘do’ and are pictured here presenting him with a small token of the Authority’s appreciation.

Andrew will be sorely missed – as much for his ever cheery outlook as for his can do attitude and willingness to tackle the most difficult of tasks.

On behalf of everyone at NIFHA we wish Andy a long and happy retirement.

Recycling Fishing Gear

We sent 3 containers of netting to Plastix Global in Denmark & are actively looking to send more nets to them for recycling.

Some of the things they can use the material for include Velux windows, drainage piping & lego.

Damien’s Leaving

Damien’s leaving for pastures new (Oct 2017).

After all too short a time Damien is leaving the Kilkeel team to go to pastures new.

This cheerful and positive gentleman has made a hugely positive contribution to the team from day one. He will be greatly missed.

Good luck Damien in your new career.
